Notes
Suite for String Quartet and  South Indian Veena explores the beauty and color of five unique ragas.
These melodic modes are the cornerstones of classical Carnatic music. The five movements are Alapanas (slow and improvisatory in nature) and Thillanas (quick rhythmic compositions.) Movement IV is an improvisation for string quartet and veena created by Nirmala Rajasekar.

I.    Alapana Raga Mayamalavagaula
II.   Thillana Raga Sanmukhapriya
III.  Allapana Raga Risabhapriya
IV.   Thillana Raga Rasikapriya
V.    Alapana Jhalavarali
